Terms of use
Last updated 27 October 2026
The Australian Startup Wall of Fame (the "site") is run by SAKHYA ("we", "us"). By paying for a listing or a boost, you agree to these terms.
1. What you are paying for
A payment buys promotional placement for a project on a public leaderboard. Projects are ranked by the total amount paid for them in Australian dollars, highest first. If two projects have the same total, the one that reached it first ranks higher.
Anyone can pay to boost any listed project. Your position is not guaranteed: other projects can overtake yours at any time. A payment is not a bet or an auction bid. It carries no prize, reward or financial return, and gives you no ownership or control of the site.
2. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe and charged in AUD. We never see or store your card details. A listing or boost appears once Stripe confirms the payment, usually within a few seconds.
3. Refunds
We do not give refunds if you change your mind or if your project is overtaken.
If you were charged by mistake (for example a duplicate charge, the wrong amount, or a listing that did not appear), email us within 30 days and we will fix it or refund you.
If a payment is refunded or reversed by your bank, that amount is removed from the project's total.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
4. Listing rules
You must have the right to list the project. A listing's name, pitch and link must not:
- be false or misleading, or impersonate another person, business or brand;
- link to scams, phishing, malware or anything unlawful;
- be hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or defamatory;
- infringe anyone else's trademarks, copyright or other rights.
We may hide or remove any listing that breaks these rules, or that we reasonably consider harmful, without a refund.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of your project's name, pitch and link. You let us display them on the site and in promotion of the site.
6. Privacy
Stripe collects your payment details and email address under its own privacy policy, and shares your email and payment record with us so we can provide receipts and support. Listing names, pitches, links and totals are public.
To prevent abuse, we keep a one-way hash of your IP address for up to 24 hours when you start a checkout. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Availability and liability
The site is provided as is. We aim to keep it running but do not guarantee it will always be available, and we may change it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months.
8. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. The version shown when you made a payment applies to that payment. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
